Dear fabulous college for which I teach:

Would you please do me the courtesy of letting me know if you plan to lay me off as previously discussed or if your expectation is for me to follow-through with the contract previously signed? If you could let me know as soon as possible, it would be greatly appreciated. Afterall, classes start on Monday.
