Pretty

In the movie Pretty Woman there is an interaction between the characters played by Richard Gere (Edward) and Julia Roberts (Vivian) that goes like this:

Vivian: People put you down enough, you start to believe it.

Edward: I think you are a very bright, very special woman.

Vivian: The bad stuff is easier to believe. You ever notice that?

I agree with Vivian and this fact sucks.
